Abstract:

In Islamic Technology: An Illustrated History, Ahmad Hassan and Donald Hill reveal that the progress of technology related with natural science is also an important part of Islamic civilization. From the period of Harakah al—Tarjamah led by Abbsid Dynasty to the beginning of European powers’ overseas expansion in the 15th century, the Islamic technology is always keeping its leading position in the whole world. Both the fall of Islamic world and the rise of Europe are not accidental things, they are related with the development of respective religion due to the attitude to technology and science playing a crucial role in them.
